Overview
The Inventory Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of inventory within the company, ensuring accurate and timely records, optimizing stock levels, and minimizing inventory-related costs. Responsibilities
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records across all locations, including raw materials, internal assemblies, and consumables. Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Develops employee awareness and competencies relating to cycle counting, inventory control and contingency planning. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including shortages, overages, and damages. Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices to minimize losses and improve efficiency. Analyze inventory levels and trends to identify areas for improvement and optimize stock levels. Develop and implement inventory forecasting and planning strategies to meet demand and minimize stockouts. Order Fulfillment: Coordinate with the procurement department as needed to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock to meet customer demand and production schedules. Collaborate with production and sales teams to ensure smooth inventory flow and timely delivery. Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate and analyze inventory reports. Prepare and present reports to management on inventory performance and key metrics. Identify and analyze trends and patterns in inventory data to inform decision-making. System Maintenance:

Responsibilities
- Maintain and update inventory management systems with accurate and timely data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to inventory management.
- Assist in the implementation and integration of new inventory management technologies.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and propose potential improvements to inventory control processes and procedures.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures related to inventory management.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in inventory management.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in inventory control or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent data analysis and reporting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other inventory management software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with ERP and/or WMS systems preferred
- Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, etc.
- Works under general office environmental conditions
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to grasp, carry, feel or touch; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear
- This position is a hybrid position, which requires regular on-site visits, up to 2-3 times per week
- Must reside within a reasonable distance, within a 1 hour radius via car, of Cook Medical in Bloomington, Indiana
