Hours :
Full-time (37.5 hours per week), including evening hours and weekend rotation.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Serves patrons at the Information Desk at both Aspen Drive and Cook Park Library locations.
- Assists patrons in the use of electronic products and digital collections.
- Participates in the collection development process by selecting and weeding materials in assigned area.
- Assists patrons with use of library collections, both print and digital, and subscription databases.
- Provides tech assistance with computers, smart devices, and library equipment.
- Plans and presents programs to meet the information needs of patrons and promote resources.
- Creates relevant printed and digital content for patrons, including blog posts, podcasts, newsletters, and reading lists.
- Stays abreast of current trends, issues, and topics by reviewing relevant professional literature and attending conferences and workshops.
Requirements :
Salary & Benefits :
Starting at $52,000, depending on experience. Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, 457 savings plan, paid sick, vacation, parental leave, and scheduled holidays. Cost of living and merit increases.
