What are we looking for?
Someone who is energetic and a positive team player with an eye for detail. This person will need to have creative design and computer skills, be a proficient writer, and an effective communicator. Previous Adobe Creative Suite or Canva experience is preferred.
Requirements
What does a Marketing Specialist do?
The Marketing Specialist’s main priority is to execute administrative tasks within the department at the direction of the Marketing Manager. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Updating, printing, and cutting signs, handouts, etc.
- Preparing for and representing the Museum at outreach events
- Adding events to the Museum’s website and community calendars
- Updating and sending weekly emails in MailChimp
While organization and communication are keys to success in this position, another key attribute is attention to detail. The right person for this position will also have emotional maturity and time management skills in this fast-paced environment.
This is a part-time, 20-25 hour per week position that is primarily scheduled Monday-Friday, but will include select nights and weekends, so there will be some flexibility in scheduling.
