Cook’s Saw Manufacturing, located in Wicksburg, AL., is now accepting resumes and applications for a bookkeeper. We have been in business since 1970 and manufacture portable band saw mills and related equipment. This position will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, flow of correspondence, and processing customer payments along with other clerical duties. We are looking for someone with the ability to work independently, time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Job Responsibility Sample
· Answers telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate associate
· Greets and directs visitors to the company
· Greet guests in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner
· Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents
· Posting customer payments, and communicating with sales staff about payments received
· Send out Accounts Receiving statements
· Clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating
· Other duties as deemed necessary
Job-Type
· Part Time or Full Time
· Hours 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
· Mainly office environment
· Most time will be spent sitting at the computer and typing
· Occasional bending, stooping, and lifting of up to 30lbs
Skills and Qualifications
· Basic computer skills are essential
· Basic knowledge of using a Windows-based computer system
· Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel necessary
· Attention to detail and time management skills
· Ability to multitask is critical
· MAS90/Sage100 Experience preferred
· Being able to perform Data entry duties with speed and accuracy
· Proven to be confidential and trustworthy
· Organization and efficiency are a must
· Ability to communicate well with internal departments, customers, and vendors
· Professional etiquette in email or mailed communication

Education

Starting Pay Range
· Starting pay is based on qualifications and experience
