Cook Solutions Group is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Service Manager to lead our Utah & Colorado teams. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service, communication, and time management skills, along with a professional demeanor and appearance. This individual will be responsible for providing fast, efficient, and quality service through well-trained staff and controls as defined by Cook Solutions Group and serving as the single point of contact between the company department and the customer. In addition, they are responsible for overall supervision of the service teams in remote areas (including hiring, training, evaluation, safety, scheduling, coaching, and team building).
Location: Sandy, UT or Denver, CO
Pay: $75K - $85K salary quarterly bonus
What youll do:
- Review open service call reports weekly, collaborating with service dispatch to ensure timely resolution of all calls
- Occasionally accompany service technicians during service or preventative maintenance calls to assess their performance and gain a better understanding of field demands.
- Review and address weekly escalations with the General Manager.
- Evaluate and approve timesheets for all Service Technicians, ensuring that overtime is justified and addressing any discrepancies as needed.
- Approve time-off requests for Service Technicians and coordinate with other team members to minimize operational disruptions.
- Coordinate and lead annual employee reviews, ensuring proper documentation and making recommendations for salary adjustments.
- Conduct interviews and assess potential candidates for employment.
- Review and approve tool or capital expenditure requests for direct reports.
- Review the Work-in-Progress (WIP) report weekly, following up with dispatch of calls with significant costs that remain unbilled.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Stage equipment in preparation for upcoming installations.
- Manage daily shipping and receiving tasks.
- Communicate with technicians and dispatch when inventory has been received.
- Work closely with the scheduler and Account Manager to confirm all installation inventory has been received.
- Input all inventory transfers into the system for tracking and reporting.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Team to ensure the timely closure of Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes.
- Assist with mid-year and year-end physical inventories.
- Pick up parts from local vendors as needed to ensure timely operations.
- Coordinate the disposal of recyclable scrap materials in an environmentally responsible manner.
- Perform any other related duties as required and assigned.
What youll bring:
HS Diploma or GED equivalent; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of proven Technology Project Management experience, or equivalent experience working in security and technology.
- 2 years project managing complex multiple programs/projects.
- Excellent oral, written, and active listening communication skills.
- Experience managing projects with distributed teams located in multiple time-zones.
- Ability to understand technical systems documentation and interact with systems resources.
