Job Summary : The QA Consultant will be critical in validating application functionality, performance, and security throughout the VB to C# migration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manual and automated testing, particularly in .NET environments, and a strong understanding of both legacy and modernized applications_Key Responsibilities : ? Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases for migration Validate business logic, data integrity, UI / UX, and system performance across both legacy VB applications and newly developed C# versions Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with developers to ensure timely resolution Automate test cases for regression testing, ensuring minimal downtime and high-quality deployments Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing for desktop and web applications Establish and maintain QA best practices and documentation for the migration project Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to identify potential risks and ensure smooth transitions Utilize CI / CD pipelines to integrate automated testing into the software development lifecycle (SDLC? Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams on QA methodologies and automation frameworks_Required Qualifications : ? 5 years of software quality assurance experience, focusing on .NET applications Proficiency in testing VB and C# applications and understanding migration challenges Experience in writing and executing test scripts using tools such as Selenium, NUnit, xUnit, Postman, or JMeter Strong knowledge of SQL databases and the ability to write and execute queries for data validation Experience with automated testing frameworks and performance testing tools Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies, including CI / CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins? Solid experience with API testing, including RESTful services Ability to analyze complex systems and communicate technical issues clearly to development teams Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively_Preferred Qualifications : ?
