What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Assistant Auditor position at Cooke County Texas?
The Accounts Payable Assistant Auditor works under general supervision, performing the accounts payable (AP) function for the county including auditing requests for payment; purchase invoices; and blanket purchase order payments. Audits the disbursement account coding to ensure accurate distribution of expenditures, verifies accuracy of calculation of invoices and affidavits; prepares accounts payable reports and disbursement listing for reporting to Commissioner Court. Works with vendors on billing inquiries and resolves billing discrepancies. Responsible for filing and scanning accounts payable documents. Reports to County Auditor.
High School diploma or GED required, prefer accounting degree plus two to three years of accounts payable experience. Governmental experience is preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment required. Must be detail oriented and can multitask.
