- Execute tasks in the garden based on standard operating procedures.
- Maintain collaborative checklists as assigned.
- IPM Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Directs Team Communication:
- Conducts weekly IPM/Cultivation meetings to keep all staff informed of IPM activities scheduled throughout the week
- Communicates with upper management any areas of concern utilizing reporting and monitoring data on a weekly basis
- Directs Team Communication:
- IPM Supervisor assigns IPM Technicians:
- Daily monitoring and scouting of pest and disease including physically inspecting sticky cards and plants
- Weekly scheduling, collection, submission of testing samples from all cultivation areas
- Maintaining up-to-date pesticide/preventative logs
- Weekly record keeping of crop walks, tracking areas of concern
- Heat mapping per building per room
- Collection of sticky cards for pest population tracking
- Upkeep and maintenance of SDS binders
- Report pest/disease/plant health issues immediately to Cultivation Manager
- Maintain inventory of pesticide locker
- Develop and maintain current knowledge of common pest/disease concerns
- Assist in dispersal of beneficial insects
- Coordinates scheduling of pesticide applications
- On Site Training / Documentation of Training Activities:
- Implement the “I Do, We Do, You Do” Training Philosophy
- Document all training sessions with employees with signatures of related tasks, once completed:
- Worker Protection Standard / FDACS operating procedures for assigned tasks and projects
- Weighing, measuring, mixing and applying pesticides/preventative agents/caustic cleaning agents, etc.
- Operating and maintaining all related equipment
- Sprayers, foggers, etc.
- Understanding of all safety protocols
- Inventory Tracking:
- Ordering BCA’s and related materials from approved vendors
- Ordering Plant Protectant Products as needed from approved vendors
- Keeping all Safety Data Sheet folders up to date per building
- *Reviews:
- 30/60/90 Day Reviews will be held for all IPM Technicians to reflect on what has been achieved as well as areas of improvement
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Must hold a Valid Pesticide Applicator License in the State of Florida
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education, certifications, and experience in horticulture, agronomy, or cannabis cultivation are a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and able to maintain accurate records
- Be a team-player
- Be friendly and optimistic with a willingness to learn
- Great time management, self starter, motivated, adaptable to changing schedule
- Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations
- Reliable Transportation
- Passion for and knowledgeable about cannabis
- Passion for cannabis culture
- All applicants must be residing in DeLand, Florida, or willing to commute.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a level 2 background screening in Florida.

Work Environment:
This role operates in a warehouse with several environmentally controlled spaces. Environments inside cultivation spaces are subject to large variations in humidity, CO2, temperature, and light exposure. This role routinely uses mechanical, spray, and lighting equipment.
Exposure to possible allergens, irritants (organic and chemical) and potential loud noises
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or feet, reach with hands and arms and may be required to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
Travel:
This position may require light travel.
