Exciting opportunity to build a historic, trusted brand in the culinary, food service and meat processing industries and to develop a suite of complimentary brands from the ground up. A true Business Development role, with responsibilities split between two organizations that work closely together in the same industries.
Friedr. Dick is a historic German brand and one of the most successful knife companies in the world. Founded in 1778 F. Dick began as a small file cutter workshop in the southern German town of Esslingen, which developed into a high-quality business with a complete product range for chefs and butchers and evolved from a file specialist to a paragon for really good knives. F. Dick is now represented in 80 countries around the world and remains a family-owned company. Its U.S. office is in Farmingdale, New York.
CookUP Group is a new corporation focused on bringing quality European brands in food service and hospitality into the North American marketplace. The growing list of brands includes Profboard cutting boards, AMT cookware, ScanBox food transportation carts, and Scraegg meal preparation equipment.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying sales prospects and growing the U.S. market. This position is based in Farmingdale, NY, and reports to the President of CookUP.
Responsibilities include :
- Develops and implements business development strategies
- Generates, screens, manages, and develops new leads and potential business opportunities
- Manages the sales pipeline and CRM data integrity
- Leads the creation of detailed business proposals and presentations and oversees the proposal response process
- Account / Relationship management throughout the customer life cycle.
- Collaborates with customer service to onboard new customers and provides exceptional after-sales support
- Monitors industry trends and customer needs to refine strategies
