Inventory Control Specialist

Coolab Foods LLC. in Franklin Park, IL., producer of Ice Cream products sold nationwide and even beyond is looking for an inventory control specialist to join our fast-growing team.

Essential Functions of an Inventory Control Specialist:

The following is a list of specific duties which are considered the essential functions of this job. The list is not exhaustive, as all positions at the Company are dynamic. The employee who occupies this position is expected to assume any/all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in this list. Locate and perform cycle counts of specific inventory/material designated by daily report instructions.

• Become a subject matter expert of Fishbowl Inventory Management software: understand all transactions in the system and able to troubleshoot any issues quickly and accurately.
• Reconcile cycle counts to Fishbowl.
• Verify all cycle count variances in Fishbowl and determine if variance is receipt or usage related.
• Report any inventory problems to the Warehouse Lead
• Process inventory corrections in Fishbowl.
• Work with production supervisors to ensure production related inventory is reported accurately in Fishbowl system.
• Review production paperwork and enter scrap in Fishbowl.
• Prepare reports for Stock inventory.
• Reconcile Fishbowl inventory receipts.
• Assist with complete physical inventory counts as needed.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One to three years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment preferably performing cycle counts.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be able to read, write and speak English, bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
• Proficient data entry, PC knowledge and experience.
• Mathematically proficient and proven ability to count inventory accurately.
• Exposure to Inventory Management / preferably Fishbowl.
• Exposure/experience to manufacturing and distribution operations.
• Forklift Certification.
• Understands and follows quality requirements, PPE requirements and safety guidelines
• Know and comply with safety policies, procedures, and guidelines

Physical/Visual Demands/Work Environment:

• Shift takes place in a warehouse environment which requires full PPE regardless of the weather
• Constantly required to walk and stand most of the 8 hr shift
• Constant pushing, pulling, climbing, handling, reaching, stretching, and working in tight and high places.
• Physical and visual activities that are commonly associated * with the performance of the functions of this job
