Cooley Public Strategies is a public affairs firm based in Nashville with an office in Washington, D.C., and a nationwide client footprint. CPS provides C-level strategic public policy consulting, media relations, community engagement and research to some of the nation’s top companies and non-profit organizations.
An Editor candidate will:
· Ensure all written products meet the standards of both our firm and the clients we serve.
· Work with colleagues to develop their confidence and strength as writers.
· Develop a basic understanding of all clients, including their goals and objectives, to assist colleagues in shaping their writing most effectively.
· Work in a hybrid environment, cultivating collaboration and communication with colleagues in the office and remotely.
· Possess a keen attention to detail, ensuring all work product is truly “client ready” before it leaves the firm.
· Proofread all public-facing materials to ensure high-quality content and presentation.
· Manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
· Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to continuous growth.
Required Experience:
· Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience in public affairs, public relations, journalism or a related field.
· Highly developed and polished written communication skills.
