Position Summary
The assistant principal will work with the building principal to ensure the overall academic success for approximately 650 students from a diverse community. The assistant principal will work with students, staff, and the community to maintain an effective learning environment and healthy personal development for students. Specific position duties include; supervision of instruction, staff supervision, collaboration with parents, management of the facility and developing community partnerships. As an instructional leader, the assistant principal will be responsible for working with district staff to select and supporting school staff based on the instructional emphasis of the school.

Qualifications:
- Hold or eligible for Arizona certification as a School Principal
- Mininmum 4 year secondary experience required
- Demonstrated ability to improve student academic and social development
- Demonstrated success in multicultural learning environments
- Experience implementing systematic school improvement through effective
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working
district administrators
- Ability to provide instructional leadership for students with a variety
- Experience with providing professional development as a teacher or
- Demonstrated success in cultivating and sustaining meaningful
achievement and well-being
- Demonstrated success in interpersonal, oral and written communication
- Arizona driver’s license, required
Reports to: Principal
Supervises: Assigned school staff
Terms of Employment:
- 12-month contract
- Administrative Salary Schedule
- Exempt position under FLSA
