SCDOT is seeking a Software Architect Consultant to support the development and maintenance of a CADD workspace using Autodesk AEC Collection and Inventor. The role involves workspace development, software troubleshooting, training, IT coordination, and project support to ensure efficiency in transportation project workflows.

Key Responsibilities

< class="" data-start="802" data-end="851">1. Workspace Development & Maintenance

• Develop, configure, and maintain CADD workspace standards, templates, and libraries.

• Ensure compliance with AASHTO and SCDOT standards.

• Document processes to ensure long-term usability.

• Conduct technical presentations for designers and leadership.

< class="" data-start="1133" data-end="1175">2. Technical Support & Training

• Provide daily technical assistance for CADD tools and workflows.

• Train users individually and in small groups.

• Troubleshoot and resolve CADD-related software issues.

• Implement new software alongside CADD workspaces.

< class="" data-start="1425" data-end="1469">3. Coordination with IT & Vendors

• Work with IT for installation, configuration, and licensing of CADD software.

• Collaborate with vendors for technical support and updates.

< class="" data-start="1625" data-end="1674">4. Documentation & Process Improvement

• Document workflow procedures for integration into workspaces.

• Update technical documentation and training materials.

• Create video guides for plan production processes.

< class="" data-start="1868" data-end="1911">5. Project & Stakeholder Support

• Assist project teams with CADD environment setup.

• Ensure project deliverables meet client and industry standards.

• Act as the primary point of contact for CADD-related inquiries.

• Facilitate communication between design teams, project managers, and stakeholders.
