Duration : 1 Year with possible extension.
On-site : Candidates MUST be local at time of submission. Hiring manager is not currently interested in candidates who will need to relocate to accept offer. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Position will be hybrid work schedule onsite 2 days a week.
Description :
The position is responsible for providing ongoing maintenance and support Michigan Disease Surveillance System (MDSS), Michigan Syndromic Surveillance System (MSSS), Interoperability and other MDHHS public health applications supported within our department. MDSS is a web based communicable disease reporting system developed for the state of Michigan to Facilitate coordination among local State and Federal Public Health Agencies. The resource is integral to supporting and improving MDHHS automated processes, streamlining critical business processes, data integrity, SEM / SUITE compliance, and securing the applications. As a lead, the resource participates in a variety of assignments that provides for the enhancement, integration, maintenance, and implementation of projects. The resource also provides applicaition oversight to business analysts in the team that support other applications. Not having a resource on staff will lead to MDHSS not being able to fully support MDSS and other applications, leading to errors causing data integrity issues, accessibility and can eventually lead to incorrect information being processed and reporting incorrect infectious information to the feds and state.
Top Skills & Years of Experience :
- 8 years of business analysis experience for complex computer systems.
- 8 years of developing functional requirements for development projects.
- 8 years of developing and implementing test plans and test cases.
- 8 years of creating, updating and maintaining systems documentation and creating training plans and materials.
- 5 years using CMM / CMMI Level 3 methods and practices.
- 5 years implemented Agile development processes including test driven development.
- 5 years programming in SQL and / or PL / SQL (Oracle Preferred)
- Experience with Azure DevOps and HIPAA Data
