ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Oversight & Execution
- Manage government-contracted projects in compliance with all relevant regulations and contract terms.
- Ensure full alignment with project scopes, owner requirements, and company standards.
- Develop and maintain Project Execution Plans (PEP), outlining key deliverables, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Oversee Change Orders, RFIs, and Compliance Reports, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Facilitate cross-functional team collaboration to meet project objectives and client expectations.
- Maintain all required documentation for internal audits and external government compliance reviews.
- Identify and evaluate government contract opportunities to expand the company’s presence in the sector.
- Develop and manage relationships with government agencies, contracting officers, and procurement teams.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of RFPs, RFQs, and bids, ensuring competitive positioning.
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing structures to optimize profitability while ensuring compliance.
- Monitor contract performance and ensure adherence to agreed-upon terms and service levels.
- Manage budgeting, cost forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure project profitability.
- Oversee procurement of materials, permits, and supplies, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Track project schedules, ensuring timely execution and proactive risk management.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project requirements and government regulations.
- Act as the primary liaison for government agencies, contractors, and internal teams.
- Ensure clear and proactive communication across project teams to mitigate risks and enhance collaboration.
- Conduct periodic site visits to government project locations, ensuring compliance with contractual and safety requirements.
- Enforce adherence to PPE, safety standards, and all applicable regulatory guidelines.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education / Training
- High school diploma, GED, or completion of trade program or technical school.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 7 years of experience in project management, government contracting, and sales, specifically within commercial HVAC, refrigeration, or EMS installations.
- Strong understanding of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement).
- Experience with commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including installation, operations, and maintenance.
- Expertise in government procurement processes, contract negotiation, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or other project management tools.
- PMP, CFM, or equivalent certification is preferred.
- TSI level SCI Clearance is required.
