The position of a Director of Marketing is of great significance to Valley Wide Cooperative. The Director of Marketing will work across multiple channels and levels of the organization to develop marketing strategies including implementing successful print, outdoor, online/interactive media campaigns and Valley Wide and Valley Agronomics ongoing web presence. To work with business units to develop and manage the actual Valley Wide can Valley Agronomics message to both internal and external customers.
Job Summary:
These are the basic requirements of the position and must be performed competently:
- Communicate and maintain the Valley Wide brand.
- Work collaboratively and creatively to develop and implement successful customer and employee marketing strategies.
- Implement strategies to support social media marketing including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and others identified as necessities to achieving business objectives.
- Manage website and mobile site presence and activity for multiple business units to drive traffic.
- Manage email campaigns, list creation, analytics, and reporting.
- Direct marketing activities to acquire new and retain current customers.
- Provide advertising, marketing, and graphic design services to business units on an ongoing basis, examples include web banners, sales flyers, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Public relations and communication with the media and communities; including donations.
- Work collaboratively with business units to develop and implement participation in events, trade shows and sponsorships.
- Develop and execute the marketing financial plan, including flyer expenses, coop collection, labor planning, etc.
- Leverage strong planning and team management skills to achieve significant results.
- Develop strong internal partnerships throughout the organization to maximize marketing opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Job Qualifications/Prerequisites:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing and/or related experience.
- Prefer Master’s Degree in Business, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; must be a team player.
- Knowledge of reporting tools and use of analytics to aid decisions.
- Detail Oriented, innovative and creative, with strong self-directed time management skills.
- Must be organized, focused, and driven toward established deliverable dates.
- Demonstrated project discipline and experience.
- Understanding of business and technical process relationships is essential.
- Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
