We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Group Exercise Director to lead and oversee our group exercise program. This role is responsible for curating a diverse, high-quality class schedule, managing a team of skilled instructors, and delivering exceptional member experiences that align with our luxury brand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in group fitness, a keen understanding of member engagement, and the ability to inspire and develop a team
Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or as needed to fulfill job responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive group exercise schedule that caters to a diverse clientele and aligns with industry trends.
· Ensure classes provide a mix of intensity, format, and variety, incorporating innovative and on-trend fitness options.
· Recruit, train, and supervise a team of certified group exercise instructors.
· Facilitate ongoing professional development to enhance instructor performance and keep the team informed of emerging fitness trends.
· Conduct regular assessments and provide feedback to instructors, ensuring delivery of consistent, high-quality classes.
· Build strong relationships with members, gaining insights into their fitness goals and preferences.
· Collaborate with the marketing team to promote group exercise programs, increase member participation, and enhance retention.
· Handle member inquiries, feedback, and concerns with a high level of customer service.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized group exercise environment, upholding the luxury standards of Cooper Fitness Center.
· Manage and create budgets for group exercise programs, including instructor payroll, equipment, and maintenance.
· Track and analyze attendance and other performance metrics to continuously improve program offerings
· Be a team player and perform additional duties as needed
· Attend departmental and company-wide meetings
· Fill in for other program functions when necessary
· Perform any other duties and responsibilities that may be required

Requirements
The ideal Group Exercise Director candidate should possess:
· Bachelor’s degree in Health & Wellness, Exercise Science, or a related field (preferred).
· Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a management or leadership role within a wellness or group exercise practice setting.
· Certification in disciplines from recognized organizations.
· Strong background in wellness programming and a deep understanding of various mind-body modalities.
· Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
· CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (must be obtained within 60 days of hire)
