JOB TITLE: Architect II
JOB SUMMARY: The Architect II is responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned project, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions. Under the direction of the Project Architect or Project Manager, the Architect is competent in all conventional aspects of architecture and the production of high-quality project design, as well as documentation on time and within budget. Is able to perform work independently on multiple aspects of architectural design.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Adhere to Cooper Carry and the Client guidelines and meets deadlines within budget for each project.
- Maintain knowledge of Cooper Carry projects and resources.
- Well-versed in architectural skills to include drawing, rendering, visual and presentation skills utilizing internal resources.
- Communicate with team, clients and consultant/contractor representatives effectively.
- Proficient in required computer software to produce complete high-quality drawings.
- Assist Project Architect in coordinating necessary tasks for a variety of projects.
- Ensure accuracy and completion of all project related assignments.
- Prepare and produce drawings, design and construction documents.
- Strong understanding of building systems, codes, and construction methods.
- Promote a collaborative team environment.
- Complete research as needed.
- Participates as appropriate in contract administration.
- Guides, teaches, and mentors less experienced Designers.
- Travel to Project Job Site or Design Office as required to facilitate design and construction under the direction of the Project Architect.
- Contribute as required to the overall quality and success of the project, studio and firm.
- Writes reports and specifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered Architect
- 5-8 years’ experience in related field
- Graduate of an accredited architectural program with Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree
- Strong understanding of building systems and documentation
- Technical experience and experience with Revit software
- Hospitality sector and New York City experience would be a plus
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation range offered for this Job Posting: 95k - 110k.
