Job Summary:
Perform demolition tasks at the direction of the Site Foreman to complete Demolition projects in a timely manner. Ensure the job site is swept and cleaned. Remove debris and neatly stack in dumpster.
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL RESPONSBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Perform work tasks to accomplish Demolition projects
- Demolish walls, concrete, ceilings, HVAC, windows, carpet, flooring, door systems, etc.
- Remove debris and neatly stack in dumpster
- Cut Concrete and be Slurry Management
- Fire Watch when doing Hot Work
- Ensure work areas are properly swept and cleaned
- Ensure demolition is safe and all electrical power is terminated
- Recycle all materials as required by local jurisdiction
- Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues
- Help clean and maintain tools
- Contribute to the Company Safety Plan
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned
SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE BIRTH CERTIFICATE FOR GOVERNMENT PROJECTS
- Minimum 1 year of Construction experience
- OSHA 10 Certification required or willing to get within 30 days of employment
- Display basic computer skills
- Lift and/or pull 75lbs., climb ladders, work off ladders, man lifts or other equipment
- Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while working
- Capable of working in a variety of weather conditions

- Adhere to all OSHA and Cooper Demolition safety practices and procedures
- Other activities at Cooper Demolition job-sites as directed
- Punctual and reliable
- Reliable transportation and valid Driver’s License
- Proficient using Reciprocating Saw, Chipping Hammers, basic hand tools
- Understanding of Building Concepts and demolition
- Basic hand tools including Voltage Tester, Utility Knife, Wire Cutters, etc.
- Experience working from a Ladder, Scissor Lift and other Ariel Working Platforms
