What you will do:
- Generate new business for the digital team through past, existing, and new customers.
- Collaborate and develop strategies with your manager on how to approach different clients to sell digital solutions.
- Effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organization, suppliers and customers.
- Make sound decisions, valid conclusions, define and address problems by establishing all the facts and reach out to appropriate management teams for clarification and approvals.
- Demo and sell the Cooper Electric website, mobile app, and any other digital solutions that have been/will be created for customers
- Utilize product and technical knowledge to assist customer with product selection.
- Reach monthly goals in sales and gross margin.
- Encourage the use of digital tools across customer base.
What you will bring:
- Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and inter-personal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate information and present solutions to a customer.
- Ability to speak, read, and write proficiently in English.
- Strong mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills.
- The ability to operate computers and relevant computer software.
- Ability to prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Frequent travel, sitting in vehicle to customer’s place of business or job site.
- Frequent exposure to seasonal temperatures and fluctuations of inside/outside building temperatures.
- Requires close vision with computer and paperwork, distant and peripheral vision for driving and product selection, and depth perception for safety in warehouse and building.
- Requires ability to clearly hear in-person and phone conversations.
- Primarily light industrial and office work areas. Exposure to construction sites, hard hat and safety sensitive areas. Moderate to high noise level.
Salary Range: Commission plus Draw
Location: Northern NJ region
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
