GENERAL SUMMARY
Phlebotomist is responsible for providing patient care in the clinic. The phlebotomist will draw and collect blood from patients or donors at the clinic. Position will also verify records and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Assist with transport the blood samples for analysis and other medical purposes. Helps organize, maintain and file patient charts
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Draws and collects blood from patients or donors.
2. Interviews patients and takes vital signs of patients as needed.
3. Identifies patients and properly labels specimen tubes with patient identifiers.
4. Charts daily reports as required.
5. Assists in training new employees and students in the department.
6. Cleans and maintains equipment for the department on a daily basis.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High School diploma or GED required.
Preferred:
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
The work location for this role is onsite.
