Job Summary:
The Materials Warehouse Technician will c oordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between materials and manufacturing departments according to the production schedule. Duties include pulling/staging of parts for production according to the schedule, daily cycle counting, verifying incoming order quantities, checking quality of items, packaging orders for shipment, loading and unloading of trucks and occasionally picking up parts at vendor locations. Responsibilities also include all inventory control/cycle counting at vendor locations. Computer knowledge of Acumatica or similar inventory control software and bin control knowledge of inventory control helpful. The Materials Warehouse Technician reports directly to and is fully accountable to the Materials Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify deliveries : Ensure delivered supplies, materials, and equipment match the purchase order specifications in terms of quantity, condition, and model number, and complete necessary paperwork for stock items received.
- Manage material tracking : Use computer programs to record issues, returns, receipts of new materials, and back orders, ensuring essential data is input for all materials handled.
- Conduct inventory counts : Perform daily cycle counts of inventory materials and quarterly inventory checks at vendor locations, troubleshooting quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and material teams.
- Stage materials for production : Prepare and organize all components and materials needed for manufacturing to align with the production schedule.
- Maintain warehouse organization : Organize and maintain inventory areas for efficient material storage and handling, ensuring proper labeling and stocking of inventory items.
- Operate forklifts and equipment : Safely operate indoor forklifts and other necessary vehicles to handle materials being received, issued, stocked, or picked.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively : Actively participate in production team meetings, materials team discussions, and maintain cooperative working relationships with all company employees.
- Work environment : Manufacturing/assembly shop environment; ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds; working near moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions; typically a moderate noise level.
- Education and experience : High school graduation with one (1) year of experience in a computer-aided warehousing operation, or equivalent education and experience, including forklift operation or the willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Forklift Certification: Ability to obtain and maintain OSHA-required Forklift Certification.
- Inventory control knowledge: Working knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures.
- Computer and software proficiency: Familiarity with computer terminal operations and the ability to use spreadsheets and other software for business math and scenario analysis.
- Communication and coordination skills: Strong oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to speak clearly and confidently, and coordinate multiple tasks effectively while maintaining professionalism.
