Responsibilities :
- The Operations Manager demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
- Maintain care, custody, control, and safe operation and maintenance of a shop, equipment, and staff
- Establish and sustain a culture that promotes a safe and positive work environment
- Assure environmental, health and safety compliance
- Develop and implement procedures and systems for shop personnel to operate and maintain the shop in a safe and effective manner
- Prepare annual budget and manage shop expenditures appropriately
- Hire, train, supervise and evaluate an effective workforce and delegate / monitor work activities for safe and efficient facility operation
- Hire, evaluate, and monitor work activities of contractors / subcontractors for maintenance and repair activities for facility equipment
- Responsible for all aspects of customer order management, including proposal development, risk management and mitigation, specification compliance, scope development, pricing, customer negotiations, customer communications and issue resolution
- Interface with the Sales teams to develop commercial strategies and solutions that will meet customer requirements as well as meet or exceed business goals
