Human Resources Recruiter & Training Specialist
Location:
- Asheville, NC with hybrid option to work remotely
- Must be available to be on campus in Mill Spring as needed
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm

Pay: Starting at $19.00/hr and increases based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Complete full cycle recruiting with new employees including job postings, screenings of candidates, offering positions, completing onboarding paperwork, and orientation
- Coordination and strategic planning with program directors and supervisors around recruitment and onboarding of new staff
- Participation and organization of job fairs and other outside recruitment tools
- Schedule and organize monthly orientation of new employees including the scheduling of presenters, presenting at two orientation sessions, and sending out attendance lists to presenters
- Documentation and tracking of attendance required and optional trainings for current and new staff
- Tracking current employees required trainings and coordinating with employees and their supervisors in attendance
- Maintaining the training calendar for yearly staff meeting trainings and quarterly trainings
- Support continuing research on trainings offered and coordination of outside trainings as needed
- Supports and collaborates on retention efforts
- Participation in the DEI Work Group, external trainings, research and consultation, and remains aware of national climate and events impacting the lives and livelihoods of marginalized individuals
- Acts as a liaison for the HR Department on effective strategies for the organization to assess and take actions to promote a safe, inclusive workplace, directly address inequities, and build a more diverse workforce
- Effectively communicates staff and residents on important cultural events throughout the year
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- At least 1 year of experience in human resources, recruiting, and/or training
- Interest in the participation related to DEI efforts
- Strong organization and time management skills
