Network Administrator
The Network Administrator manages the cyber security measures, installation and maintenance of the hardware and software devices, troubleshooting challenges, supervising the IT team and other related IT needs of the organization.
Location: Working between Asheville and Mill Spring, NC Campuses
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 8-5 pm
- Participates in an on-call rotation

Pay: Starting at $65,000 and increases based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Perform network design and capacity planning
- Conduct research on networks products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
- Install and maintain network servers and operating systems
- Provide second-level technical support to user concerning network system operations
- Diagnose problems with network equipment and perform equipment repair or upgrades as appropriate
- Develop functional data recovery systems and techniques
- Schedule and monitor backup of network data, periodically restore files, applications, and the entire system on network hardware to test backup facilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network cabling and other equipment such as hubs, switches, and UPS
- Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network connected end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain IPS/IDS, Firewall, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Antimalware, etc. for maximum internal network protection
- In conjunction with InfoSec, establish and enforce policies, procedures, and standards regarding LAN, WAN, security, and use of the organization’s computer and information assets
- Supervise and manage the IT team and department
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in computer science or related field, a bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Net , CCNA CCNP, CCIE certifications
- At least 5 years of networking experience or combination of education and experience
- At least two years of Microsoft Azure support experience
- At least two years of Microsoft Teams, M365 Exchance experience
- Windows Server, Azure Active Directory, and Group Policy Management experience
- Operational knowledge of Hyper-C, vmWare experience preferred
- Network and routing protocols: Ubiquiti switches, Aps, and Cloudkeys
- Knowledge of switch configuration and programming
- Powershell experience
- Supervisory experience leading teams
- Ability to independently install software and hardware on networking equipment and end user devices
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on services, computers, and peripherals equipment
