Kitchen Manager
Location: Asheville, NC
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday
Salary: Starting at $43,000 per year, increasing based on experience

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily dining experience, ensuring a welcoming and nourishing environment.
- Prepare a Mediterranean-inspired menu with a focus on whole organic foods.
- Collaborate with the Integrative Wellness Specialist on weekly menus and dietary needs.
- Hire, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff and volunteers.
- Manage kitchen operations, including meal planning, ordering, and budget management.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and in good working order.
- Maintain inventory of food and non-food items.
- Ensure compliance with Serve-Safe certification and health code guidelines.
- Provide accommodation for special events.
- Support the Sous Chef in meal preparation and service.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless dining experience.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in the Culinary Arts or 3-5 years of on-the-job culinary training.
- Knowledge of whole foods and vegetarian cuisine.
- Experience working with adults coping with mental health challenges is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
