What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep Cook position at Cooper's Food and Drink?
The prep cook is responsible for prepping all our house made items for use by the line cook team. They ensure each day that the prep list is completed completely with 100% accuracy. On a typical shift, the prep cook(s) prioritize their day by prepping the most urgent items first. They follow recipes exactly and store, label, and date all product according to health department standards. They keep their work area clean, dry, and sanitized throughout their shift. They work in tandem with the line cooks to ensure their restaurant is always stocked with prepped foods. In downtime the prep cook(s) assist the line cooks and dishwashers with keeping their areas clean and sanitary.
