What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at Cooper Standard?
Job Description : SUMMARY
Responsible for day-to-day support to plant staff in developing and maintaining quality objectives through continuous improvement and direct customer coordination.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and lead in all APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities, including part warrants and related documents
- Coordinate all problem solving and improvement activities relating to customer concerns / issues
- Visit customers as necessary to resolve issues and coordinate continuous improvement
- Lead and train plant personnel in quality functions and disciplines
- Coordinate all products assigned SPC (Statistical Process Control) aspects
- Coordinate process audit analysis with quality department technician and analysts
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager
- Promote a healthy and safe work environment
- Follow all policies and procedures as outlined
- Must be flexible and able to travel to visit customer assembly plants, suppliers and other Cooper Standard plants as required
