Description:
Join Cooper Tacia General Contracting, a trailblazer in commercial and industrial construction, as an Estimator and become an integral part of our innovative preconstruction team. As a key player in our estimating team, you'll be the architect of accurate and competitive project cost estimates that lay the foundation for our success.

Responsibilities:

·        Develop detailed cost estimates by analyzing drawings and specifications.

 

·        Perform quantity take-offs and prepare comprehensive cost estimates.

 

·        Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing.

 

·        Engage with clients to clarify scope changes and address questions during the bidding process.

 

·        Provide vital cost information and estimates for project adjustments throughout different phases. Acts as a resource to project management during the award / start-up phase to clarify any issues regarding what was considered in the estimate including materials and methods of construction.

 

·        Reviews budget and project profitability status and goals with supervision and project team as required. 

 

·        Seeks input on corrective measures to continuously improve the identification and accuracy of cost figures.

 

·        Occasionally traveling for prebid and bid drop-offs 

 

·        Conducting searches for perspective bid opportunities 

 

 

·        Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or related field, coupled with 0-4 years of commercial preconstruction estimating experience.

 

·        Strong problem-solving abilities with a solution-oriented approach and excellent communication skills.

 

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and experienced with industry-standard estimating software (e.g., Heavy Bid, Sage, OST, Procore, Blue Beam).

 

·        Demonstrated skills in reading and interpreting bid documents and drawings, with a keen attention to detail.

 

 

Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 Per year (Base Salary & Bonus)
