Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial reporting process, implementing effective financial controls, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth. This role requires a strong understanding of both GAAP and IFRS, as well as proficiency in accounting software such as Sage and Xero. Also proficient in QuickBooks and able to manage payroll and other office managerial duty’s.
Duties
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS.
- Oversee cash management processes to optimize liquidity and ensure timely payments.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accuracy in financial reporting.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Manage the budgeting process, including forecasting and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends.
- Lead the finance team in developing technical accounting policies and procedures.
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage and Xero.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Excellent cash management skills with a focus on optimizing cash flow.
- Solid understanding of financial management principles and practices.
