- Performs CT Scan procedures in accordance with established protocols by the Radiologist
- Operates the CT scanner during interventional radiology procedures in the CT department
- Maintains a clean and organized work area, reporting equipment maintenance issues and monitoring supplies and inventory
- Adheres to all infection prevention policies, utilizing personal protective equipment as needed
- Maintains licensure and BLS certification
- Participates in departmental training and stays current on industry developments
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills and provides courteous behavior towards colleagues and customers
- Understands the importance of providing high-quality customer service, both internally and externally
- Participates in clinical activities, such as assisting with patient flow and care, and optimizes throughput of patients via radiology transport
- Remains compliant with timekeeping rules, adhering to departmental procedures and regulatory requirements
- Attends staff meetings and reviews daily huddles to stay informed on department communications
- Participates in departmental on-call and holiday requirements
General, trauma, and emergency department experience is required; experience with pediatrics and cardiac cases is preferred but not necessary
Education RequirementsGraduate of an AMA-approved radiologic technologist program; must be enrolled in a qualified computed tomography program
License/Certification RequirementsCurrent BLS certification (Basic Life Support); current ARRT license (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists); current NJ-RADTECH license (Radiologic Technologist); ARRT board certified in computed tomography is preferred
