Job Summary
- Directs daily activities within the department
- Facilitates employee orientation and training
- Performs area-specific QA/QC procedures
- Conducts radiographic procedures in accordance with ALARA principles
- Assists physicians with radiographic procedures
- Operates various devices using radiographic and associated equipment
- Maintains patient records via appropriate systems
- Ensures maintenance of all radiographic and associated equipment
- Provides patient care functions in a safe environment
- Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures
- Verifies compliance with state and national licensing/credentialing agencies
- Interacts effectively with customers
- Supports staff and students in performing radiographic procedures and associated duties
- Participates in evaluating staff and students as needed
Experience Required
- Certificate of completion/Degree from an Accredited Radiography Program
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience; biennial completion of minimum required CE credits to maintain required certification/accreditation
Education Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
License/Certification Requirements
- Licensed by the NJDEPE and credentialed in radiology and mammography by the ARRT
- Current ARRT - American Registry Radiology Tech License
- Current NJ-RADTECH - NJ Radiology Tech License
- CPR certification
