Short Description
Cape Regional Physician Associates is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving residents and visitors throughout Cape May County. Cape Regional Physicians Associates has over 60 primary care providers and specialists, delivering services in multiple locations throughout Cape May County.
Experience Required
- Knowledge of medical insurance terminology, computer skills for scheduling and familiarity of general office procedures and equipment, arranging appointments for care, providing exceptional customer service
- Verifying insurance eligibility and ensuring that insurance requirements are met prior to delivery of service
- Explains financial requirements to the patients or responsible parties including authorization process and deductibles
- Accurately processes all requests and documents appropriate information within a time-sensitive environment
- Ability to deal with the public with professionalism and compassion in stressful situations and prevent, calm, or defuse irate callers and patients by working with them to identify concerns and properly directs calls
- Ability to hear inquiries from patients, physicians, clients or staff, answer phone and speak with patients
Education Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent
Special Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of medical/radiology terminology
- Minimum 3 years medical office/authorization/insurance experience, preferred
- Positive, upbeat disposition with ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Must be proficient in Word/Excel and EMR, have good organizational skills
