Short Description
The Clinical Nurse Manager will provide the knowledge, skill, and expertise necessary to successfully support the day to day operations of the clinical unit.
The Clinical Nurse Manager will be responsible to:
- Oversee assignments.
- Assist in quality and throughput goals.
- Support staff engagement by serving the unit in a consistent, supportive, and compassionate manner.
- Role model/mentor clinical staff to address patient needs effectively.
- Supports quality patient care and organizational priorities at the direction of the Clinical Director.
- Identify and support the elements of improved care quality care using HRO principles
Overview
Pavilion 7 is a medical-surgical unit that has a specialty focus on both orthopedic and neurological diagnoses. This 30-bed unit features 8 beds designed for our stroke population as part of Cooper University’s Comprehensive Stroke Center, as well as 3 EMU beds for seizure monitoring. Telemetry monitoring is available in 10 of the unit beds when needed. The nursing staff provides caring, individualized attention to all patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with collaborative interdisciplinary team members.
Experience Required
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting, with 1 year of demonstrated leadership abilities.
Education Requirements
- Graduate from an NLN accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's in Nursing Required, Masters preferred or in progress within 6-12 months of hire
License/Certification Requirements
- NJ-RN: Current New Jersey license as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS & ACLS certification.
- CNL or AACN Specialty certification preferred.
