Short Description
The Leave Specialist is responsible for the administration of all leaves of absence for Cooper Health System and Cooper Health Care Services employees. This includes the Federal Medical Leave of Absence (FMLA), Americans with Disability Act (ADA), New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD), Short- and Long-term disability.
Develops and administers benefits and leave communication plans. Identifies issues and develops solutions to administering the health system’s leave of absence programs.
Experience Required
At least five years of Benefits generalist or specialist experience. Expertise and experience with Federal Medical Leave of Absence (FMLA), Americans Disability Act (ADA), Interactive Process under the ADAAA, and New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (NJLAD). Effective organizational, analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
License/Certification Requirements
CEBS or PHR Certification a plus
