What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Access Service Specialist position at Cooper University Health Care?
This position has a strong emphasis on customer service to our patients and facilitating patient access to professional services.
This position must ensure quality patient scheduling, positive telephone etiquette and customer satisfaction in support of the mission of Cooper University Hospital and Cooper University Physicians.
Must be knowledgeable of medical terminology, medical insurance, professional billing requirements, and must possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Must be skilled in use of computers and applications.
Must have the ability to be organized, take independent action and project Cooper’s values to both customer and co-workers.
Requirement: All new employees must be trained in appointment scheduling and Patient Registration and successfully PASS all IDX training requirements within their probationary period.
IDX Training includes: MCA Models, Registration, Basic Management and Eligibilities requirements.
