Requirements
- Promptly and professionally answers telephone calls
- Provides a complete explanation of testing instructions and preparations
- Schedules services, ensuring all aspects of appointments are appropriate and accurate, including patient demographics and appointment details.
- Obtains and records patient insurance, prescription, referral and other financial clinical documents
- Verifies insurance eligibility and ensures that insurance requirements are met prior to delivery of service.
Education/Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Five years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging Scheduling
- Previous data entry/typing experience, knowledge of basic office equipment, computer experience
- Must be proficient in Word/Excel and EMR, have good organizational skills and have experience with multi-line telephone system
