Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry or move heavy objects approximately 50 lb.
- Ability to stand forextended periods of time.
- Sonographer must have dexterity of hands and fingers in order to utilize tools, utensils, equipment, etc.
- Ability to kneel, bend or stoop in order to complete job responsibilities at very low or floor levels.
- Ability to visually perceive depth, distance, read material, and view documents with or without corrective lenses.
- Ability to hear inquiries form patients, physicians, clients and staff. Sonographer must have the ability to work in varying degrees of lighting for extended periods of time.
- Interpersonal skills must be well developed. Should possess the initiative and ability to set and achieve high standards of performance.
Education:
- Education - Satisfactory Completion of an approved Ultrasound Technology Program.
- BLS/CPR required post hire of 6 months
- Certification/s – ARDMS and RVT Required - Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- If no RVT certification must gain certification within 6 months of hire date.
