JOB DESCRIPTION - ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER (APP) LEAD - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Emergency Department and Urgent Care
In this leadership role, the APP lead will be responsible for the general oversight of the Center for Urgent and Emergent Services APP team; including, but not limited to, education, communication, quality initiatives, performance and staffing/scheduling. They will collaborate with the medical directors of the Emergency Department and Urgent Care. They will manage APP clinical service delivery for the effective, safe, and efficient operation of CUES and be a change agent for the department by supporting projects that drive institute quality metrics, maximize productivity, and contain costs.
Clinically, the Lead APP will have a demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation regarding the needs and care of emergency department and/or urgent care patients.

Experience Required
Minimum of 18 months working as Licensed Advanced Practice Provider.
Education Requirements
Master's Degree - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is required, current NJ Advanced Practice Nursing (APN) or Physician Assistant License
License/Certification Requirements
Board certification Nurse Practitioner or Board certification as Physician Assistant; Active New Jersey License; American Heart Association ACLS/BLS and CDS/DEA
