Short Description
The Cooper Neurological Institute Medical Education Coordinator (MEC) will serve as a point of contact for Neurology and Neurosurgery medical students (M3 and M4), visiting students, observership/shadowers, and visiting rotators. The MEC will also be responsible for coordinating educational activities such as Grand Rounds in adherence with ACGME and CME processes and requirements. The MEC will assist residents/fellows with completion of clinical instructor appointments with CMSRU and provide guidance throughout the process.
The MEC will provide additional support as requested by the Neurology and Neurosurgery Program Directors, Assistant Program Directors, and Program Administrators to develop and maintain the educational quality of the CNI training programs and ensure compliance with ACGME accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements.
Experience Required
Knowledge and experience in hospital operations, administrative procedures and resources.
Knowledge of requirements for ACGME accredited graduate medical education programs.
Computer literate and familiarity Microsoft products.
Education Requirements
Associate’s degree preferred
