Job Overview:The Vice President of Remanufacturing and Swing Engine Program at Cooper Machinery Services will report directly to the COO and be responsible for leading the strategic, operational, and financial success of the remanufacturing and swing engine program. This executive will oversee the entire remanufacturing process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality refurbished engines and components, while driving operational excellence, growth, and cost control. The position demands strong leadership in overseeing remanufacturing operations, managing cost centers, and driving both product and market expansion within the remanufacturing and swing engine sectors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Lead the strategic development and execution of the remanufacturing and swing engine program, aligning with overall corporate goals to drive growth and innovation.
Cost Center Management: Oversee the financial performance of the program’s cost centers, ensuring cost-efficiency targets are met and resources are optimized.
Operational Excellence: Optimize operational efficiencies across remanufacturing processes, supply chain, and service delivery, driving cost-effectiveness and improved margins.
Product Innovation: Drive continuous improvements and innovation in remanufactured engines and components to enhance product quality, reliability, and market competitiveness.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners, ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement. Focus on personnel development through talent assessment, targeted training programs, and succession planning to ensure future leadership continuity.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality protocols, maintaining the highest levels of product quality and safety.
Safety Leadership: Prioritize workplace safety by fostering a culture of safety awareness, ensuring full compliance with safety regulations, and implementing safety protocols in all remanufacturing operations to prevent accidents and injuries.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other business units and departments to ensure seamless integration of remanufacturing operations and shared best practices.
Performance Reporting: Regularly present performance reviews, including financial and operational updates, to the executive team.
Efficiency Initiatives: Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve asset utilization across the manufacturing floor.
Problem Solving: Tackle operational and strategic challenges, developing actionable solutions that drive results and improve performance.
KPI Monitoring and Process Improvement: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Required Skills and Experience:
Educational Qualification: MBA or advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in remanufacturing, engine programs, or a related sector, with a strong technical understanding of the industry.
Leadership and Cost Center Management: At least 5 years of leadership experience managing cost centers for a business unit or division.
Technical Proficiency: Deep technical knowledge of remanufacturing processes and engine systems, with a focus on driving product innovation and quality improvements.
Business Acumen: Demonstrated success in achieving financial and operational targets through effective cost control and resource management.
Strategic Vision: Proven ability to develop and execute long-term strategic plans
