Sales and Customer Experience:
- Lead sales initiatives to drive revenue growth and achieve performance targets.
- Ensure excellent customer service by training staff and establishing high service standards.
- Monitor sales trends and implement strategies to enhance sales performance.
- Assist guests on the sales floor, including processing transactions when necessary.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Oversee daily gift shop operations, ensuring smooth functionality of all sales processes.
- Maintain visual merchandising and display consistency in alignment with brand guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking to ensure product availability.
- Assist in maintaining the Gainesville Gift Shop salesfloor.
- Monitor sales and perform merchandise resets periodically.
- Assist with reconciliation, and sales reporting.
- Collaborate with the Gift Shop Manager to develop and implement pricing strategies.
- Process orders for items delivered to the Gift Shop.
- Manage in-store inventory for spoilage, including seeds, drinks, and food.
- Process in-store damages quickly and efficiently to ensure proper inventory.
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) systems and ensure staff is trained in its use.
- Supervise sales associates and volunteers, providing training and mentorship.
- Conduct one-on-ones with staff to ensure communication and regular performance feedback.
- Work with the Volunteer Manager to recruit, train, and schedule volunteers.
- Schedule and coordinate staff coverage to meet operational needs.
- Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluation of sales staff.
- Foster a positive work environment that supports teamwork and professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and loss prevention policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and storage areas.
- Assist in planning and executing promotional events and sales initiatives.
- Assist in the annual inventory to ensure all shrink goals are met.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or corresponding combination of experience and education.
- Minimum 2 years of retail sales and operations experience, with at least one year in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with POS and inventory management software preferred.
- proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service and sales.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Occasional bending, lifting, or climbing; frequently lifting moderate weights (25-50 pounds).
- Occasionally lifting heavy weights (50 pounds or greater); manual dexterity.
- Regularly scheduled weekend work, with occasional evening/night work during seasonal events.
- Must have a valid US driver’s license.
