Job summary
Cooperative Health is seeking an enthusiastic, mission driven individual to fill the position ofController, this individual will oversee Cooperative Health’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulations, while also managing the accounting team and providing key financial information to support decision-making.
Essential job functions
Financial Reporting:
· Preparing and analyzing financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).
· Ensuring compliance with accounting standards (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
· Producing reports for shareholders and other stakeholders.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
· Developing and managing the company's budget.
· Forecasting financial performance and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
Accounting Operations:
· Managing the accounting department and staff.
· Overseeing accounting processes, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
· Ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
Compliance and Internal Controls:
· Implementing and maintaining strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
· Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
· Conducting internal audit
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
· 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practice

· Ability to communicate with people from a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.

· Proficient in use of computer programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Physical demands
· Prolonged periods sitting or standing
· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
