Entry Level Bilingual (Spanish) Human Resources Coordinator
Location : Bronx, NY
Status : Full-Time -35 Hours Per Week
Salary Range : $19.00-$23.00 Per Hour (determined based on experience)
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Bilingual Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. This role is centered on assisting Home Care Workers with information and support regarding their benefits, employment documentation, and union-related services.
Responsibilities :
As the HR Coordinator, you will :
- Serve as a resource for Home Care Workers by providing guidance and accurate and timely information about their benefits, and other 1199SEIU union-related benefits.
- Coordinate and manage leaves of absence, including FMLA, Paid Family Leave, and Workers' Compensation.
- Process claims for disability benefits with accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage and process 401(k) transactions, including loans, distributions, and enrollment updates.
- Complete employment verification requests and prepare employment letters as needed.
- Conduct New Hire Benefits Orientations to ensure Home Care Workers understand their available benefits and resources and ensures all Home Care Workers feel informed and supported.
- Facilitate and promote Worker Ownership Orientation to foster engagement and participation in our cooperative model.
- Work closely with the 1199SEIU union to address benefits inquiries and support Home Care Workers in accessing their union-provided benefits.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing benefits-related questions and concerns with professionalism and care.
