What The Job Is
CPI is looking for someone who has a strong financial background who will promote and support CPI’s Agronomy accounting programs, oversee the agronomy accounting systems software ensuring accuracy and updates, review and balance company agronomy accounts and plan and oversee the internal controls that are implemented upon approval of the CEO. The ideal candidate will be quick to connect with others and able to establish and maintain working relationships while building a positive rapport with the CPI Leadership Team and ensure a consistent flow of information to management. In addition, this person will assist with monthly financial statements, company audits and review company policies regarding accounting, computer, software and security for effectiveness as they apply to the agronomy division and recommend improvements to the CEO, CFO and VP of Agronomy.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- A high level of integrity ethics, morals and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and a results-oriented demeanor is a must.
- A thorough understanding of financial statements, computer proficiency and a strong business acumen with time management skills, effective planning and organization and proficient decision-making abilities.
- Proficient knowledge of business computer skills (Microsoft Office, Database, Internet and Accounting software’s) and CPI’s internal computer systems that affect day to day activities.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors.
- Strong ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree from a two or four-year college or university with an emphasis or major in accounting.
- Minimum two years related work experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CPA Certification is a plus!
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer is essential in this role.
- The ability to lift up to 15 pounds at a time is required.
- This position is Onsite at our CPI Hastings Corporate Headquarters.
