What The Job Is
CPI is looking for someone who likes to work outside and enjoys working independently. This person will learn the basics of dry and liquid applications, rate/density, nozzle selection, speed versus rate for applying fertilizers and/or chemicals, preventative maintenance and machine inspections of each brand of machine and loading/unloading inbound or outbound inventory. Punctuality and consistent attendance to meet business demands is required and extended hours will be expected in season including nights and weekends. CPI is a safety minded company thus such policies must be followed. Custom Crop Applicator Trainees will also utilize and operate variable rate technology, GPS guidance systems and application software on equipment. In addition, this person will be responsible for product blending and custom applying fertilizers and chemicals based on recommendations and label directions to fields as well as assist the Grain and Agronomy Operations at times.

- High School Diploma and/or GED and/or training is required.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing or walking.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, have the physical strength and stamina to perform the duties of the job, lift, push or pull up to 85 pounds at any given time and adapt to working around frequent moving parts, fumes, airborne particles and chemicals.
