Main Duties:
- Collaborates with healthcare teams to meet the needs of families.
- Develops policies and standards of care based on current research and evidence-based practice.
- Reviews and maintains educational materials distributed to parents.
- Supports breastfeeding during hospitalization and separation of mother and infant.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- At least 2 years experience in lactation consulting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrative compassionate care and support
- Proficient computer skills
- Completion of all orientation requirements by Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center
- Successful completion of all Orientation programs required by Cooperman Barnabas Medical
