Residential Manager

The Residential Manager provides leadership to the residential staff team and support to residents as they integrate in the CooperRiis therapeutic community. They work closely with the Program Director and ensure the community life is offered in a safe environment with clear structure of boundaries and expectations.

Location: Asheville, NC

Schedule

• Wednesday: 1 pm – 7 am overnight sleep shift
• Thursday: 3 pm – 10 pm
• Friday: 3 pm – 10 pm
• Saturday: 10 am – 6 pm

Pay: Starting at $43,880 and increases based on experience

Responsibilities

• Engages in the recovery process for each resident, has an understanding of resident goals, and assists residents in attaining goals, meeting needs, and creating/maintaining daily structure
• Collaborates with Program Director, Recovery Coaches, and day-time staff
• Supervises Residential Advisors and PRN staff with support from Program Director
• Responsible for planning and managing evening and weekend activities and logistics and facilities social experiences for residents who have chosen not to participate in scheduled activities
• Checks in with residents throughout the evening and picks up on emerging issues and assures the health and safety of each resident
• Manages crises including coordination and communication of emergency responses
• Facilitates Residential staff meeting and ensures nightly notes are documented
• Supports scheduling of Residential Advisors and PRN Support staff
• Participates in an on-call rotation
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent relevant experience
• Experience working with adults coping with mental health challenges
• Leadership and supervisory experience preferred
• Must be 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record to be eligible to be on the organization’s car insurance
