What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Program Director position at CooperRiis Healing Community?
The Residential Operations Director oversees the residential staff and programming/activities of the ACP program which ensures residents and members have social recreation, creative and physical wellness activities. In collaboration with the facility manager, the Residential Program Director ensures the physical environment is safe, comfortable, and aligned with all applicable state and federal regulations. They also supervise and mentor the day, evening, weekend, and PRN staff.

Responsibilities
- Active member of the community and role model for positive community interactions
- Coordinates communication between residential staff and daytime staff including the clinical teams in support of resident goals
- Ensures the health and safety of each resident is prioritized and responds to critical needs per CooperRiis protocol
- Effectively hires, trains, and supervises residential staff and manages performance
- Coordinates safety drills across the various campus buildings
- Facilitates community member housing/room assignments
- Conducts regular walk-throughs to ensure buildings and grounds are being maintained
- Oversees the maintenance of seasonal landscaping and plantings
- Ensures that all ride support trips are scheduled and executed
- Ensures that all residential staff are appropriately trained and accurately supervising the packing of medications
- Supervises and approves the social activities on evening and weekends for residents
- Serves as a backup for residential staff shifts if needed
- Helps maintain the compliance of state licensure requirements
- Master’s degree or commensurate experience in the field
- Experience working as a supervisor in a mental health field
- Experience working in a residential or similar setting with crisis management
