Key Holder/ Shift Leader

Job Title: Coopers Keyholder - Shift Leader

Department: Front of House

Reports To: General Manager or Shift Leader

Job Summary:

As a trusted Keyholder, you'll be responsible for the secure and efficient opening and/or closing of Cooper's Beach Shack. This vital role requires responsibility, leadership, attention to detail, and independent work ethic to ensure the restaurant is prepared for service or properly secured, setting the tone for our operations and ensuring premises clean and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open or closing lead in daily duties
• Shift leader in training (opportunity to move up)
• Ensure FOH areas are clean, organized, and stocked.
• Prepare and verify cash drawers.
• Review daily schedules and communicate any issues to management.
• Review Daily events & promotions
• Ensure a welcoming environment for arriving staff.
• Multi tasking & ability to work alone
• Values Hospitality and Leads by example.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven responsible experience in hospitality/food service (previous key holder preferred).
• Demonstrated reliability, trustworthiness, and integrity.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of security procedures
• Basic cash handling and reconciliation skills.
• Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to follow checklists and procedures.
• Flexibility for early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Minimum 18 years of age.

Physical Demands:

• Extended standing and walking.
• Light lifting and carrying.
• Bending, reaching, and stooping.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.50 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
